I am happy to say that
I am a UCA BEAR! ...
A member of the UCA Large Coed Cheerleaders.
As a sophomore at UCA, I plan to pursue a
degree in Broadcast Journalism.
I will be
competing as Miss Petit Jean Valley in the 2010 Miss
Arkansas Pageant to be held in Hot Springs
in July. It has been almost six years now
since I first started this site and began
working on my platform. My Fitness
Funtastics program is completed and is
now being used in all Conway Elementary
Schools. A portion of the program booklet
will be available on this site.
A brochure,
"What's a Parent to Do? CPR for Promoting
Physical Fitness Within the Home" was a
major project and is now being utilized by
the Faulkner County Health Department as a
home health resource.
I also founded the
Boys and Girls Club Cheer & Dance Squad five
years ago, and continue to volunteer weekly
to promote the program. This past year, we
started the development of a fitness DVD to
be used as a resource in Boys and Girls
Clubs across the United States.
I was pleased to
have been awarded the Arkansas Youth
Humanitarian Award from KARK-TV, the
Department of Human Services Division of
Volunteerism, Governor's Office, and St.
Vincent's Health System. Other awards I
have received include the Conway Spirit of
Community Award and the Presidential Award
for Community Service. These awards have
been the icing on the cake: the real reward
is knowing that I have made a difference in
the lives of the children in our community.
